2nd International Workshop on Communication Applications in Smart Grid (CASG 2016)


The evolution of the Smart Grid has now become critical to the development of sustainable energy provision. The uptake of Smart Grid requires the complex integration of communications and information systems with the traditional power grids and networks. Communication and information technology are vital to link consumers, suppliers and distributers in such a way so as to enhance the quality of service provided, and the sustainability and reliability of supply and service in the future.

The workshop on Smart Grid Communications aims to serve as a premier international forum for discussions on the future role of communication systems in the Smart Grid, bringing together academic, industrial and governmental researchers along with practitioners, standards developers, policy makers and students, with backgrounds in communications, energy, control theory, power systems, signal processing and information systems. The workshop also serves as a venue for learning about state-of-the-art in Smart Grid technology giving attendees the opportunity to network with experts in the field and come out with new areas of development in achieving the goal.

All the papers should be in English and formatted according to the Authors Kit at

CASG papers should be submitted into 'CASG' track in confy.



Accepted papers will be published in Springer's LNICST series and will appear in the SpringerLink, one of the largest digital libraries online that covers a variety of scientific disciplines, as well as in the ICST's own EU Digital Library (EUDL). LNICST volumes are submitted for inclusion to leading indexing services, including DBLP, Google Scholar, ISI Proceedings, EI Engineering Index, CrossRef, Scopus.
